Funny thing is I didn't think of this at all when painting it - just a coinsidence :) ... real depth LOL<br /><br />For the unicorn that was the intension. Origol above I painted Saturday evening (excluding the prepp, primer and building the base which was done previously). This is quicker than normal though. Other minis like my Giant Snail took a lot longer. Happy to - here's how I did the metal:<br /><br />1) First a solid layer was a mix of bronze, red and black<br />2) Multiple very thin layers of mixes of bronze/red/black adding more red to each layer.
