Nurgle Army Update: Some new stuff

Hello again!

Two new miniatures and one new shield.

First out is the Citadel Weird Fantasy WF16 Midlands Troll. Its one of the few caricatures of Bryan Ansell created in the mid 1980s. The underside of the base on this one says "Wereansell". On the base I also added a Citadel wounded Runequest broo and a frog from the Citadel C29 Creepy Crawlies series.

Second one is a classic Citadel Chaos Sorcerer with a familiar.

Last one is an old mini (link) that I painted a new shield for. Its the CC5 Crabclaw from the Asgard Series Creatures of Chaos.

Hope you enjoyed this one!

Citadel Fantasy Tribe FTT1 / C20 Troll

This is one of the earlier trolls from Citadel. Originally released in 1981 as part of the Fantasy Tribe series - FTT. This one being FFT1. A few years later as the first C20 trolls.

Added a piece of bone of the end of the club.

On the base you can also see an old Asgard miniature. The FM80 Centipede from the Fantasy Monsters series.

Hope you enjoy!

Nurgle Warband Update: Troll

This is an old Ral Partha Troll from I think mid 80's. Great sculpt with a lot of very fine details and definition.

I really enjoyed this one, much due to that he is nude - or actually closer to the truth -  it was only the skin to focus on. Really like this kind of simplicity.

I chose blue as the core color and circled around the blues with a bit of green and tiny amount of red. I rarely use blue as the main color (don't know why) but wanted something that really contrasted (for a change) the orange and red of the base.

Typically I paint the hair in the same way as the skin but do some deviations in the shadows and highlight. On this troll though the hair and skin got the same treatment.

As the base was quite large my standard paint job wasn't enough (looked a bit flat) so finished off by adding a bit of red in a few places. Originally I also thought of adding some nurglings or familiars, but in the end went for simplicity.
