A new addition to the Rogue Trader Genestealer Cult.
The Dominator named Hulendar. These were the very first miniatures in the Tyranid / Genestealer horde. They don't fit in too well into the later Genestealer and Hybrid miniatures but just wanted this classic mini in my cult. Also not that many painted examples out there so adding one more example seemed like a good idea.
Got very lucky in getting this one. Browsed ebay for finds many years ago and ran into a pile of bits and old miniatures and thought I saw the torso of this mini in it. After a closer examination concluded that the pile contained all the parts of the miniature and managed to pick up the auction at a very good price.
Went with a paintjob fitting the cult and the classic blue and purple Genestealer colors. Unfortuenetly the tip of its left hand gun broke of while painting and has not yet been found.

DeleteThere's always so many interesting things the oldhammerers dig up and write about. I don't ever remember seeing this mini, even in white dwarf. I see hints of zoat in the other mini (the one you don't have) but also some sense of the upright posture of the 1st generation tyranid warriors. Wild.
