Well - they are not the most fantasy looking ruins and I guess they made for WW2 or something. I think they work though. They have bit of chunky quality and the simple look make them work for many things. So, yes - I think they are ok.

I have been thinking about buying a ruin from warlord but figured they would be to modern looking. What do you think Hans?
