The First Asgard Trimotes finished.
The all red one was the first. Happy with the paint-job but the worn all red approach didn't really fly. The really "wobbly" sculpt demanded something else was my conclusion. So the next one I did with more contrast. Think it worked better.
Three more to come. All of them will be in variations of red, white, black and bronze as base colors to give them a coherent look.

Don these are amazing! I love the wash technique used here. Will you be basing them up?
ReplyDeleteThanks Minitrol! I actually haven't used washes. It's all built up with thin layers. Not sure what to do regarding bases...I need to to something - think that it would make the mini look a lot better - just has to figure out what to do

DeleteFantastic start to this project.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gareth! /Hans
DeleteReally nice Hans, I really love the textures you mangaed to give and a certain depth the models seem to lack.
ReplyDeleteThe tainte dglass in th efornt is looking great and adds a real nice touch. It would have been easy to go "full comics" on such models (I would have done it) but you chose a more interesting way.
Thanks Asslessman! Interesting..."full comics style"...Didn't think of that but reading your comment I'm thinking that would be a cool way to paint them...next ones maybe :)
