Wow your yellows are soft and muted and your blacks are highlighted so perfectly.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see you diversifying your miniatures you seem to be skilled at painting all of them!
Thanks 24_Cigarettes!

That's a really unconventional take on a commissar. Most refreshing, in a lemony kind of way!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gaz! Very lemony indeed /Hans
DeleteThe blending of the yellow on the commissar is amazing, Hans. I wait with baited breath to see the finished Harlequin. Fantastic work.
ReplyDeleteThanks VeronaKid! /Hans
DeleteAmazing yellows! I was just talking with a friend of mine recently about painting yellow and yours is a prime example of it done right. Such a difficult colour. Looking forward to seeing the Harlequin!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jordan. Yellow is tricky. Especially as there isn't any really good yellows (as far as I have found) out there. Mixed in a bit of yellow-brown which for the base made it easier. Used then pure yellow on top on that. /Hans
DeleteBeautiful Commissar! Very impressive use of yellow...that's can be a tough color to work with.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mouse

now now that's silly, Does that Commissar think he's Chapais Cain* or something, he now a target for the enemy as well as his own troops LOL
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, great work on him, that yellow looks amazing, such a hard colour to work with, pull off beautifully.
*Caine has more sense then that of course....
Thx Darren!
