Nurgle Warband Update: Thug in bone armor

This is a great sculpt. The bone armor is perfectly sculpted making it a pleasure to paint. Quite happy with the paint job as well.

I went for a uniform look all over the mini where the shield is the only contrast.

For the shield I continued with black & white but have left the graphical / straight lines design on this one (also on the Marauder in the previous post) and gone for a design inspired by Ian Miller. Not sure if it looks Ian Miller but that is the inspiration.

  1. Your appreciation of the painting pleasure is very interesting indeed. I've left this mini aside on my want list because when I started collecting I figured by looking at the red catalogue it wouldn't be as nice to paint as the Jes Goodwin versions. Now I get it from a painter (and looking at your PJ, I can see it must have been a pleasure).
For me this is the definition of a great sculpt, you can get pleasure from painting it no matter your skill.

  2. Great job on a great mini. Your bases.. they're just the business.

  3. Really nice figure. And I think your shields are what really set your figures apart. Very impressive stuff. Oh yeah, the bases too.
