Two new additions to my Nurgle warband.
First out is the Samurai inspired Chaos Warrior: Sukiyaki The Inscrutable. Very much one of my favorite Chaos Warriors and a lot of fun to paint.
I added a second sword in his left hand as it looked like he was holding an invincible Katana - now he is holding a visible Katana in a reverse grip (very Ninja). In my opinion, an improvement :)

Since I'm practicing Kendo, I'm horrified by how he holds his katana, but hey, the guy is chaotic so I guess rules are not his strong asset... ^^
ReplyDeleteThe mini is excellent and the colour choice is brilliant, teh gold/white works perfectly on the blades.
Azakil is very good in a very humble way (hair and skin).
Very good as always...
Thanks! You know, this is the standard position and grip for the classical backwards stab for attacks from behind. You mean you don't practice this useful technique? ... ;)

Yeah I know, Kendo is just a martial art derived from Kenjutsu and anyway, in th emiddle of a war with foes everywhere, you better not hold to much on orthodoxy but more on efficiency. ^^
DeleteI would ver y much love to get my hands on such a lad, do you know his references (catalogue wise)?
OK, don't mind, got it

Great job!
ReplyDeleteI really like the red-green(rotting flesh?)colors of the samurai.
Thanks! It's nurgling green. My old rotting has past it best before date long time ago. It was my favorite color and used for a lot of different things. Nurgling green is quite ok as well but a bit more brownish. Thx/Hans
