Nurgle Warband Update: Cavalry nr. 4

This time a combination of an Undead Cavalry horse and a solid base C33 Mounted Adventurer Rider (the Rogue). If you look at my previous post you'll notice I just switched the rider and horse between these two sets.

The rider and horse are complete standard with the exception of the Rider's claw. The positioning of this hands made it impossible to add a weapon and I didn't wan't do afflict any damage on the mini as I really like it. So I just added a claw. Not the best conversion ever but I think it did the job.

Really happy with the look on this one and it's one of my favorites in the warband/army so far. Hope you like it too.

Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think.

Oops - just realized I forgot to complete the band on the hat. Will do that know :)

  1. Not sure about the Nurgle affiliation, but still a nice unit!

    1. Thanks Jaeckel!
Well, I guess you are right about that they don't look very typically Nurgle. I don't mind that at all though as I base this warband/army on my own view how a Nurgle/Chaos army can look like.

  2. Another fine and suitably freaky addition to what is surely the coolest Chaos warband of all time. Looks like a Satanic Puritan!

  3. Well, it's true the unit doesn't scream nurgle to me neither but I really appreciate the fact that for once, the knights are not heavily clad horsemen (though I love that too) but more "noble" fighters wo have depraved. This emphasises the "corrupted" aspect in these characters.
If the cloak had been different, I think the claw could have looked a little bit more threatening being a little more raised, but since You didn't want to alter the model (which I totally understand), this was a good choice imho.

    1. And that is exactly what I'm going for. This unit represent what is chaos for me. A loosely coupled band of desperadoes/depraved lured to chaos in hope of power or e.g due to little choice due to mutations and when they join the army/warband they keep their armour & other gear unless they have been received an gift such as chaos weapon.

The claw is very much a compromise but it's good enough I think

Currently spending my time at the Riviera of your great country :)

      Thanks!/Hans
