First is a Sorcerer that is based on a Undead Cavalry. The horse is the Lizard skin one and I find it very suitable for Nurgle. The mini was in terrible shape as it was a massive mis-cast. The rider e.g had no legs and the cloak was also missing parts and the horse was missing one leg. So part from bitz, quite a lot of greenstuff was needed.
My favorite bit is the right front leg on the horse. Made from a plastic Tyranid arm (Advanced Space Crusade era). The Nurgling on the horses back is a tribute to the Nurgle Warband in WD 124.

BTW: Here is the original model: http://www.solegends.com/citcat19912/c20307skelcav-00.htm. It's Sythe 2 and Lizard Flesh horse I used.
Next is a mounted warrior/marauder/thug. A more straight forward conversion. It's based on what I think is a Feudal Cavalry. Replacing the spear with a scythe, swapping the head and a bit of greenstuff and Bob's your uncle...

Great conversions :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! /Hans
DeleteThose are very peculiar looking...which for Chaos is obviously exactly what you want. Once painted I'm sure they'll look fantastic and disturbing in equal measures.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gareth and thanks for stopping by! /Hans
DeleteVery nice conversions. I really like the details with the sorcerer. Great way to utilize a miscast figure.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sean! Yes - I really like to do something with minis witch are damaged for one reason of the other. Converting them into something different then what they were intended for is also great fun. /Hans
