Excellent mini. I just missed it from one of Steve Casey's sales... It's an excellent version of it with the rusty chainmail and the creepy skull masks. Your shield with snakes bones really works with it. It looks like it has some texture or something on it, did you add something onto the surface beforehand? Ace job anyway.
Thanks Asslessman. Sorry you missed it - it's quite common I think so It will come again. The shield is actually a Marauder Dark Elf Shield (http://www.solegends.com/marauder/citcat93xmarauder/c92433marshields-01.htm). These came with finished cast motifs (bought alot of them back in the days). I painted quite a lot of additional details though that wasn't in the casting. Thx/Hans
Really good paint job on a nice miniature. I recognized the shield and they're fantastic! You paint a lot right now (yes I'm jealous, hehe). Have a great evening!
Thanks! I get quite a lot done right now. Very much not typical though. I'm enjoying myself immensely right now painting this warband/army so I can't stop myself. Any new project for you? /Hans
I'm currently working on a Mk1 Land Raider which I try to save from The "thick ugly color daemon". I bought it on Ebay and it was in a terrible condition. I'll post some pictures on my blog as soon as the renovation is complete. It will be a Chaos Undivided vehicle that will fit into my old 90's Chaos army. Biggest problem will be trying to imitate my own painting style I had 10-15 years ago so that the Land Raider fits both in style and color :)
Nice! The Mk1 is really great. Probably my all time Citadel/GW vehicle. Looking forward to see the result. Yes - copying a that old paint style must be very difficult. Good Luck! /Hans
