Nurgle Warband Update: Thugs

Elwood (or was it Helwud?) is now the leader of the Thugs. His brother, a standard bearer and a few other Thugs will join the unit as well. Decided for now at least to group the Marauders and Thugs into one unit.

The unit so far:

Nurgle Warband: The Thugs (so far)
Nurgle Warband: The Thugs (so far)
Nurgle Warband: The Thugs (so far) - shields

And almighty Helwud - leader of the pack:

Tried a new thing and did outlining in a lighter color than the base using very diluted Citadel Kabalite Green. Looks quite cool IMO. Really like this green color - a bit of ethereal / eerie feeling to it.

  • Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
  • Jake: Hit it.

Hope you enjoyed it! / Don Hans

  1. Hans my friend, this is some excellent Helwud you've done ! The littel red tone i sa good reminder of its Khorne origins and the very dark approach gives him this almost "classy" look.
That ethereal look you gave to the ribbon is very good, it's almost like he has neon signs on his hat.
ONce you have your models assmebled into units you know the army is not far away... hope to see that soon.

    Cheers

    1. Thanks Asslessman!

After reading your post about the brothers and understanding they were based on the Blues Brothers I just had to paint them - Jake coming up soon. With this in mind, black was the only option. A bit of red as well for a hint of Khorne.

A glowing affect wasn't intentional. It was when doing the outlining with green (Citadel Kabalite Green) this kind of just happened :)

It feel great to having the units really coming together. I have, part from needed a few more warrios, enough to put an army together. A few "must haves" needs to be done as well...including the general.
