Painting a few new additions to my Tzeentch Warband.
Finished so far is a conversion of a Chaos Centaur and a Chaos Renegade Torso and another is a standard but fabulous 80's Pink Horror.
Included also a pic of the entire Warband so far:
(Just started in on a Lord of Change and another Flamer to add as well)

We'd say your centaur and your pink (now orange!) horror fit in perfectly with the rest of the warband. However they represent a variation from the colour scheme you adopted for the previous miniatures: if we see well, in the last two warm tones predominate, while the cold tones, more present in the other members, are limited here to details of the armour or to the base.
ReplyDeleteYour colours appear from the pictures to stand out a lot, almost with a luminous effect: do you use particular colours, or is it thanks to matching?
The color scheme is pretty simple: Yellow/Orange/Red (warm) and Blue (Cool). That some pictures appear more cool or warm is probably due to my lack any knowledge with photography :)
DeleteThe colors are Citadel. I paint in transparent multiple layers with I find gives higher saturation and more of a satin finish. I also varnish with a satin varnish
The luminous effect comes from lighter or brighter colors in the recesses which I blend to a smooth transition to the rest of the colors
Beautiful - I love your painting style!
ReplyDeleteThanks! /Hans
